Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to collect and track information about your browsing activities. Cookies are small data files stored on your device. We use:

  • Essential: Required for the website to work, such as remembering your light or dark theme and the job search you were on.
  • Website analytics: We run our own analytics (Grafana Faro, on ESPO's servers) to see how the site is used: the pages you view, the campaign tag of a link that brought you here, your browser, device type and screen size, page load times and errors. A random session identifier is stored in your browser so visits can be counted. We do not record what you type into the job search, and we do not share this data with advertisers.
  • Visitor identifier: a random identifier in a first-party cookie (espo_vid, kept up to 13 months) so a returning browser is counted once, as described under “Website Visits and Company Identification” below. It is not set if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, or if you visit from the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. However, disabling certain cookies may limit your ability to use some features of our website.

Website Visits and Company Identification

When you view a page, our servers record the page address (never what you type into a search box), the time, the site that linked you here, the visitor identifier described above, and your IP address. We use the IP address to look up, in public network registration data, which organization operates the network you are browsing from — for example a utility or an engineering firm — so we can understand which organizations are interested in our services and reach out to that organization. We report this at the organization level; we do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not buy data about you from other companies or use third-party tracking pixels.

  • If you contact us: when you send a staffing inquiry through our contact form, we may link the pages your browser viewed on our site to that inquiry, so our team understands what you were looking for.
  • Job seekers: browsing our job listings is never used as a sales signal, and we do not use website browsing data in any decision about a candidate or an employee.
  • Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends this signal, we set no visitor identifier and link nothing to you; the page view is counted only at the organization level.
  • EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland: we do not run analytics, set a visitor identifier or identify organizations for visitors from these regions.
  • Retention: IP addresses are deleted within 7 days; organization level visit totals are kept; a browser's page history is kept up to 13 months.

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include encryption, secure servers, access controls, and regular security assessments. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law. For candidates, we may retain your information to consider you for future opportunities (unless you request removal). Website visit data is kept as described under “Website Visits and Company Identification”: IP addresses for up to 7 days, a browser's page history for up to 13 months, and organization-level visit totals until no longer needed. You can request deletion of your information at any time by contacting us.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal requirements)
  • Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time
  • Data Portability: Request transfer of your data to another service
  • Object: Object to certain processing of your personal information

To exercise these rights, please contact us using the information provided at the end of this policy.

California Privacy Rights

California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we honor the Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out. To exercise your rights, use our contact form or call 630-789-2525; we will not discriminate against you for doing so.

By using our services, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other countries where we operate. We do not run website analytics or organization identification for visitors from the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland.
